We continue with our guides about skins, after setting up a page listing all the skins, cases and stickers, after explaning the basics of trading and also about the main platform of trades and bets, CS:GO Lounge, we are now doing a file about exceptional skins.

Since the launch of the market and the skins, CS:GO has been growing at a really fast pace and a lot of people have been interested by near or far in the different skins that they could buy or loot by opening cases. In this avalanche of skins, VALVE successfully issued some particularly rare items, by that, I mean the ones "out of the category" with an unique appearance in the world.

If we carefully look at some skins via the "Inspect in Game" option, we can see that the skins don't have the same appearance. The applied texture, or Pattern, may differ in its location or positioning. It can be seen easily on the Crimson Web pattern, where the location and the number of webs can vary. It also can be noticed on the "Case Hardened" pattern with a variable rate of blue.

Another thing differs as well, it's about the variable condition even thought the skins are mean to be in the same condition category. Until now, it was a bug, which was maintained by VALVe. We can see some rifles or knives with the same condition looking more like the upper category one in game and also, with the same icon (pictogram that you can see by using the market) as the upper category.

Over the past few months, the market has stabilized and we have been able to see which skins were popular, the rare ones, the rarest ones and for some, almost unique in the world. The main point of this guide is to help you understand the Patterns, even the smaller one in order to help you choose or sell your items. But also to present you in brief and in a non-exhaustive way, the "exceptional skins", wanted by the collectors, which can be worth hundred or thousands of dollars and the others dream about looting it, by opening a case...
