Hi Andreas, First question : How did you discover Counter Strike and eSport ?

Hi Vakarm. I discovered Counter strike as my big brother was playing it every day and I found it very interesting, so I got the chance to play 1 hour every day because we shared computer at that time. And the computer was in his room and he was the big brother, so I couldn't do anything about it:) Later on I got my own computer, but it could barely play counterstrike, as it only had 30 fps, and it crashed in smokes. But when i turned 14, I got my own money so I bought a new computer, and that was when I began to get recognized in gathers etc.

Before we touch upon CS:GO, let’s briefly discuss your 1.6 background. Can you give us a quick summary of what you did on 1.6?

So I basically didn't do as much compared to my CS:GO carrer. I would say I played for one notable team, which was Wikipediots (arcadion, colon, turkizh, zanoj/trace and me). This team was made in the last chapter of 1.6, so I only got to play like 3 lan tournaments with the team before other teams were switching to cs:go.

How and why did you switch to CS:GO ? Did you like the game straight away ?

I switched to CS:GO with the mindset of trying to enjoy the game in the start, as I didn't really like it. I played the beta in some showmatch at copenhagen games with wikipediots versus the CS:S mousesports, and they just completely smashed us. Although we only just got the keys and installed the game at the venue, the game was missing a lot of things. But i started playing the game, and I didn't know wether I would like to play the game or not, but I would say i enjoy playing it now.

After a rather good Northcon with COREPLAY, you joined fnatic, one of the most recognized e-sport organizations, in January. How did they approach you and how would you describe your integration in the team ?

The guys at Coreplay were amazing guys, both the players and organization. But when fnatic approached me, i couldn't say no. I always wanted to play for fnatic, and with the players it had. I can't really remeber the start of the fnatic period, other than we didn't really perform very well in the start, it was actually a disaster in the start, as we lost to danish mix teams etc. But when we changed our lineup, and the day after moddi and stinger came in, we got a 1st place in one of the ems cups which was pretty unexpected.

Throughout the season, a lot of changes happened in the team which may explain the somewhat disappointing performances despite an encouraging silver medal at the EMS RaidCall. With the benefit of hindsight, now that you’re no longer part of the squad, why do you think you didn’t live up to expectations?

We didn't live up to our own expectations nor fnatic's. We had some good games, but the distance in between them was just way to big. It was an agreement between players that we didn't wanted to continue as a team. We had various problems, and lots of the same problems coming again and again, so I think that was why we couldn't live up to our own expectations.

You joined fnatic when you were only 17 and you were not left unnoticed for long. How did you find the right balance between CS:GO and your studies.

My studies has really not been a problem untill now. I haven't really done anything special from when I wasn't playing competitive. The balance between CS:GO and my mom and dad, was probably more of a problem. They were curious wether i had time for school, because of some "shit game"(in their eyes). But when prizemoney, travels, gear, salary began to roll in, they thought it was great what I was doing, and now my dad is always stalking hltv.org for results and news etc.

Friis and yourself have quickly joined Copenhagen Wolves. The least we can say is that at face value this team looks like a Danish deamteam. Can you describe each player’s role within the team and list your objectives for the future ?

You can make it as a familiy of 5. The mom is fetish who controls everything within the house followed by the dad friis, who swings the green stick. And then we have the three kids device dupreeh and me, who just wants to run around and shoot some headshots and wont listen to what mom says. I think we can achieve something good, but time will tell!

It looks like the Danish scene is, once again, in a transition period with a lot of player moves. Do you think the Danish teams can really compete against teams from other countries ? What do you think the best Danish teams have to improve on to reach the top ?

I think we can, and I think that Fnatic, Western wolves and Copenhagen Wolves have shown that in the past. I think we need to find the correct five players to play together, and get a consistent team, without having changes within some months.

How would you describe the relationship between the Source and 1.6 scenes in Denmark ?

Haha, I would say it is better now, than it was in the start, but it is still bad. I don't know why it is like that, but that is just how it is, and will probably remain as that many years.

If I remember correctly, you played right next to NBK from VeryGames at the Copenhagen Games 2012. Did you keep an eye on their progress in the competition ? What’s your view on one of the greatest competitions in Danemark ?

You are correct, but I didn't really pay much attention to Verygames as I didn't follow the CS:S scene. Copenhagen games is by far the best tournament in Denmark as it gathers international teams aswell. Although I would say that the admin decisions at the last event was pretty bad.

 
We have recently seen some competitions adding de_cache and de_season to their mappool (e.g. ESEA, ESWC). What’s your take on this? Isn’t it giving you extra work?

It is cool that they have added more maps to their map pools. I would have loved to see this in 1.6 aswell, as you already knew before banning maps, which maps you would play against almost any team. Indeed it is giving us extra work, and especially as a new team, but I like it very much, as it adds mindgames to the veto aswell:)

As you were on holidays, you may not have had a chance to catch up with the recent modifications in the new movement values. What do you think about this upgrade? Does the game need more upgrades in the future?

It has become harder to run and spray which is great. I have not tried the youtube video values yet, although I have heard it should make the game much better, and less random. I believe it needs some more updates, such as nerfing the glock.
